Caney, Dodd City, TX 75438 to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2026. The proposed tax rate is 0.300000 per $100 of value. The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in Dodd City by 24.3 %. City of Dodd City – Notice of Public Hearings The City of Dodd City, Texas, has received a request from Texas Monarch Properties and Management, LLC, (“Monarch”), to Rezone approximately five (5±) acres of land from: R-1, Single Family Residential District; to: R-2, Multifamily Residential District. to wit: GENERALLY, Bound on the South by Highway 56/East Sam Rayburn Rd.; N. Sulphur St. on the East; White Oak St. on the West; and Fourth Street on the North; City of Dodd City, Texas. Notice of Public Hearings before the Planning & Zoning Commission (City Council as Planning & Zoning Commission) and the City Council: Notice is hereby given that the City of Dodd City, Texas, Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing starting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July,16, 2026; and FURTHER, the City Council will hold a Public Hearing starting at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, July 16, 2026. The City has Adopted a 2025 Property Tax of $0.265406 per $100
The City of Dodd City has Adopted a 2025 Property Tax of $0.265406 per $100, to support the Budget for Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2025, and Ending September 30, 2026. This is effectively an 11.32% percent increase in Total Taxes. The Tax Rate Levy for Maintenance and Operations of the City of Dodd City is $0.059925 cents per $100 of taxable valuation and will raise Less Taxes for Maintenance and Operations than last year’s tax rate and that the tax rate will effectively be Lowered by 25.15% percent and will Lower Taxes for Maintenance and Operations on a $100,000 home by approximately ($20.14). The Tax Rate Levy for to pay the Principal and Interest on the Funded Debt of the City of Dodd City is $0.205481 cents per $100 of taxable valuation.
